The 2025 GMC Yukon Welcomes 5G Network Capabilities

The 2025 model year will bring a mid-cycle refresh to the GMC Yukon full-size SUV with many transformations. The revitalized GMC SUV will feature new infotainment hardware and features to enhance the driving experience. Moreover, the 2025 GMC Yukon mid-cycle refresh will also include the addition of 5G network connectivity, which is a significant improvement.
Unsurprisingly, the anticipated GMC SUV will include the latest 5G connection. Sister automakers like the refreshed 2025 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban will also look to implement the same magic. Currently, the 2023 GMC Yukon offers a 4G connection. For those who are unfamiliar, 5G is the latest and fifth-generation cellular network technology that replaced the fourth-generation (4G) cellular network technology. Mobile phone companies started deploying fifth-gen 5G tech in 2019, offering benefits such as greater bandwidth and expanded capacity.
The refreshed Yukon will feature the latest 5G technology and updated exterior styling. The forthcoming SUV will rock a redesigned front fascia featuring C-shaped headlights in line with the latest GMC styling trends, new fog lights, and a roof-mounted communications antenna for 5G connectivity. Furthermore, the rear of the SUV will also offer styling updates, including new taillights.
The upcoming GMC Yukon will offer a range of exciting new features, including cutting-edge 5G technology and a reimagined cabin experience. Among the changes to the interior are a new digital instrument panel and a larger infotainment screen. These updates will also change the center stack, dash design, and other aspects of the vehicle’s infotainment system. There is no confirmation whether the Denali and Denali Ultimate trim levels will continue offering unique interior layouts.
The 2025 GMC Yukon is expected to offer three powertrain options. The mighty trinity includes the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and a new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine set to replace the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine currently available. Moreover, the new Yukon may launch before the ball drops in 2023.
