New Drop-In Liner for the 2024 GMC Sierra 1500

The 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 has received significant upgrades for the new year. This popular pickup truck got a refresh a couple of years ago in the 2021 model year, and now the 2024 model year offers more engine options. Plus, there’s a new bedliner option that fans will appreciate.
Enthusiasts captivated by the Pro, SLE, Elevation, or SLT trim level truck wishing to protect their truck bed from scratches and other potential damages can safeguard the truck bed with the new drop-in bedliner. An option that you enthusiasts can acquire for an extra $495. Additionally, the truck-bed liner also includes a tailgate liner. Nonetheless, for those Sierra 1500 fans that desire the AT4, AT4X, Denali, or Denali Ultimate trim, the bedliner feature isn’t available.
The are several stipulations to consider before employing the drop-in bedliner, such as:
- The bed liner is unavailable if the SLE trim features the Off-Road Protection Package.
- If the GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation trim includes the Off-Road Protection Package or the Elevation Premium Package, then the bedliner is unavailable.
- If the SLT trim is equipped with Off-Road Protection Package, the SLT Premium Plus Package, or the Texas Edition SLT Premium Plus Package, then the drop-in bedliner is unavailable.
GM offers another solution for protecting the critically acclaimed pickup truck bed for those wondering. There’s a spray-on bedliner available for an additional $545. However, for those looking for even more protection, the X31 Off-Road Protection Package includes the spray-in bedliner for the AT4, AT4X, Denali, and Denali Ultimate trim.
The GMC Sierra 1500 holds various engine options. Some of these options include the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline TurboMax engine, which can produce up to 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque; the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine can generate up to 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, and the 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine produces up to 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Nonetheless, if efficiency is detrimental, there’s also the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine which yields up to 305 horsepower and 495 pound-feet of torque.
The GMC Sierra 1500 comes to life on a platform created by General Motors known as the T1. The 2024 model year production started on July 17th, 2023, at the automaker’s plants in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Silao, Mexico.
