The 2024 GMC Sierra HD AEV Grand Concept is a Feracious Flatbed Truck

During the (October 31 – November 3, 2023) SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) show, American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) showcased their skills in transforming a regular-cab, long-bed 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD into a heavy-duty overlander. AEV added several accessories to showcase the heavy-duty GMC truck’s toughness and durability.
The GMC Sierra HD Grande concept displayed at the SEMA show looks like a true off-road beast. AEV’s prototype grille guard, which protects the headlights, is one of the prominent features of this truck. Furthermore, the heavy-duty truck boasts four powerful off-road lights and a 12,500-pound ComeUp winch positioned below them, making it capable of tackling any terrain with ease.
The steel front bumper of the Sierra HD Grande concept is the same as the one found on the Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition, and it comes integrated with the 12,500-pound ComeUp winch. The AT4X suspension with Multimatic spool-valve dampers and a 1.5-inch lift, also featured in this truck, makes it capable of handling even the most challenging terrains. The Sierra HD Grande sits on massive 40-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain tires mounted on Salta XD wheels. Moreover, the GMC truck also comes with a full-size spare tire in the eight-foot aluminum flatbed in case of a flat.
To ensure the GMC Sierra HD Grande concept can handle treacherous terrains, AEV added stamped steel skid plates to protect the underbody. Additionally, the truck features a custom steel bumper with a 9500-pound winch at the back. Other accessories include an ARB air compressor and a snorkel air intake, which allows the 6.6-liter V-8 Duramax diesel engine to breathe even when the truck is wading through water. The Duramax engine can generate 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, making it a powerful machine regardless of terrain.
The 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD Grande concept is undoubtedly a formidable truck with its oversized tires and massive brush guard. The custom paint job and prototype AEV front fender flares make it a unique machine that stands out. While a regular 2024 GMC Sierra 2500HD starts at just over $47K, the combination of custom elements in this concept truck makes it priceless.
